[ It had taken some intense persuading and probably even a little bit of bribery, but the boy was clean and wearing proper clothes and they'd even been able to do something about the mess that had been his hair. The one thing that hadn't been able to be negotiated, however, was for him to leave the egg behind in the hatchery, and so he was still holding it protectively against his chest.

He's keeping close to her shoulder, taking in the numerous sights and sounds of Waterfall City with some apprehension--though every so often, something catches his interest and he tugs on her sleeve ]

[She's unperturbed -- of course, she's also the girl who actively wants to be a Skybax rider, so there is that. The good news is for all its largeness and sensory overload, Waterfall City is a very friendly, bright place with little in the way of actual threats.]

Yes, lots of them. There are more people of all types here than probably anywhere else in Dinotopia.

I think some might hatch here in the city, but most go to the hatchery. It's not really my area, but since they're so far apart and there are so many resources here it's possible.

Hopefully. If you'd like, you can come to Canyon City with me after we visit Grandpa. Things are a bit more ... wild, there. You'd see less of me because of the training course but it might be interesting for you to see them.

Let's hope that one hatches before we leave. I don't know that the Skybax Corp is the best place for an egg.

[ He's pressing himself shoulder-to-shoulder with her as they walk, an action taken partly out of affection, discomfort, and uncertainty of the new place--though he doesn't seem to be scared, at least. He's even answering the occasional dino who calls out in their own Saurian tongue ]
