M'good. [sets his mug down on the bedside table and flops back on Takeru's bed, closing his eyes briefly]

[ rolls over onto his back and folds his arms under the back of his head ]

You guys are pretty close, aren't you?

...yeah, I guess. I mean--it's hard to go through all the crap we have and not be.

I can understand that. [ he can see your almost-snuggles out of the corner of his eye ] You got used to it, didn't you. [ vague? him? no way. ]

He used to be like this all the time.

[quietly]

Just... shut down totally. And there were a lot of good reasons for that, and I get it, y'know, but. He's grown a lot. It's hard to see him... go back.

I'm sure he has his reasons, but that's not what I meant. [ okay so he knows the reasons but SORRY CHIAKI it is not yet time to say ]

You got used to napping with him. To being around him.

...oh. Well--yeah, I guess.

[ shrugs ] He is pretty comfortable. It's not surprising.

Yeah, I guess. It just sucks to see him like this, too.

Let him have his time to think. You can punch him and tell him he's being stupid later.

[laughs a little, turning his head to look over at you]

[ he feels bad for not being able to tell you things, but grins anyway ]

If I were a jerk and didn't believe in fighting fair, I'd just freeze him and let you take a swing at him.

Naaah, I'll get him myself. Appreciate the offer, though.

Good thing I'm not a jerk then, huh. [ rolls over onto his side and griiins ]

[just stretches lazily, grinning] Yeah.
