[flops over onto his back and grins up at you, reaching up to poke your belly]

Nope! Too late, I'm dying. [then he catches the look on your face and sits up, startled] Hey, hey. I'm fine! [reaches out and tugs you in against him, mussing your hair]

[ he's gonna let you, but that doesn't mean there isn't a little bit of sniffling and grabbing onto your shirt going on ]

Hey. I can take more than that. [tugging you into his lap and hugging you] S'okay! You didn't hurt me.

[ rubbing his face against your shirt, but manages to get out one worried little word: ]

Yeah, seriously! I was just kidding around, I didn't know it'd freak out out so bad. [drawing you back so he can look at you]

See? Fine.

[ his face is a little watery, but giving you a shy smile anyway ]
