[ laughs ] Point taken. [ moves over to go sit on his own bed ] But I can try to pretend nothing will happen.

That's pretty much the way to handle this place, yeah.

Until you end up in places you shouldn't be or get blood spewed all over you when you're just trying to wash up.

Eugh. Yeah.

I can deal with the sea cows, at least.

They're more polite than the toucans, at least.

I haven't seen any of those yet. What do they do?

But parrots can talk too, right? Doesn't seem weird that camp toucans could, too.

Yeah, but they're rude.

. . . So that's who I hear screaming obscenities on occasion?

Probably. All the animals here are weird.

The squirrels still look tasty, though.

But they give me funny looks.

Really weird. [ finishes the rest of his tea and flops onto his back ]

What've you been up to, anyway? Other than being grumpy, I mean.

I said sorry! [he's grinning, though] Just regular stuff. Training and video games and avoiding the food today.

Be a grump if you want. We all have bad days. Or weeks. [ reaches under his bed and extracts a little bag of chips ] Here, eat that instead.

Oh, man, thanks--you know not to eat on Tuesdays, right?

I've been warned. [ but he's still kind of curious enough to try it anyway ]
